Four Ways To Bring PeaceBy Terry Angles | 3/27/2020
As we
continue to deal with the Coronavirus, it is obvious that fear of the
unknown is creating anxiety and worry.
These two emotions often conclude, “God is not bigger than my immediate
problem,” and then we assume the responsibility to “fix” things we have no
control over.
At this
point no one has a solution to the virus as it continues to grow. As most of us are staying home, it results in
loss of income and sometimes loss of jobs.
All this creates more worry and anxiety.
God has a
solution and we must learn to trust Him through all of our circumstances. God knows our needs and will supply them. “And
this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious
riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).
Use these four ideas to bring you
peace.
1. Discern the areas of your life that
create worry. (Your health, Your job, Your possessions,
Your money, etc.)
2. Let go of your worries through
prayer. Believe “that all things
work together for good to those
who love Him” (Rom. 8:28,29).
3. Expect God to test your faith. Sometimes our faith gets weak and we start to
become anxious. We need to go back to
prayer and apply our faith. “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac…because he
believed God was able to raise him
from the dead” (Heb. 11:17-19).
4. Praise God no matter what. “In
all things give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus” (I Thess. 5:18). God’s plan is always right, and we need to
believe that. Give God time to work out His will.
Right now, I
I need to be careful of being anxious concerning the finances of Faith Bible
Church.
I don’t know where the income to pay bills
will come from, but it’s God’s church and He will do what’s best.
Let’s all be in prayer and don’t let worry
paralyze us!
