GOD FINISHES WHAT HE STARTS

“I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 ESV).

God never starts anything that He does not finish. When you received Jesus Christ and began a new relationship with Him, God began to shape your character to become like Christ.  

God will continue to work on your life until you are taken into heaven. This is a promise of Eternal Security, that once you become a Christ Follower, you will never lose it. On the day we see Jesus Christ face-to-face we will be totally transformed to be like Him.

Right now, you are continuing your growth into maturity.  This process is perfected by your time in Scripture, a deepening prayer life, and friends who have the same love for Christ as you do. It will be a blessed day, and don’t forget what the apostle John said, 

​“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been ​made ​known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for ​we shall see him as he is” (I John 3:2 NIV).

On the day that we see Jesus our joy will be complete and we will never be the same again.
