Worship In the middle of UncertaintyBy Tim Angles | 4/9/2020
In the days leading up to Jesus crucifixion Jesus has
several interactions with various people.
Jesus was spending time with His followers the final week of
His life and they were not clearly understanding what was about to take place
with Jesus dying on the cross.
His followers had lots of confusion and uncertainty about
the upcoming days.
But in the middle of the confusion and uncertainty we read
of an incredible act of trust and worship.
- Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume
made from essence of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet with it, wiping his
feet with her hair. The house was filled
with the fragrance. (John 12:3)
Others who watched Mary perform this act thought Mary was
wasteful in using such an expensive perfume to anoint Jesus feet but Jesus
praised her for her act of worship.
In these days of uncertainty and confusion about your
future, will you take time to follow the example of Mary and worship Jesus?
